Remembering Mama Janet – One Year Later

One year has passed since we said goodbye to Mama Janet, but her presence continues to light our paths and guide our hearts. 💖

Mama Janet was more than the founder of the Munyaka Children’s Center—she was a symbol of strength, compassion, and unwavering commitment. Her life was devoted to empowering those in need, especially the children of Watamu. She gave them food, shelter, education, and most importantly, love.

Her legacy lives on in every smile at the Munyaka Center, in every child who dares to dream, and in the hearts of those inspired by her life. The values she instilled—kindness, courage, and hope—remain the soul of our work today.

To this day, the team she entrusted continues her mission with care and dedication, supported by generous benefactors who believe in her vision. And her children carry forth her spirit with the same grace and enthusiasm she once radiated.

Though we miss her deeply, we celebrate the incredible mark she left on the world. Mama Janet showed us that one person can truly make a difference. 🌟

May her memory continue to inspire us, today and always.
