Our Mission is supporting Munyaka Child Center School and believing in the power of education, nurture, and community.
Janet Kenga Katana

I started this work when the church was involved in AIDS awareness and media gave big evidence to all the world.
A Whatsapp group was created by the church members to educate people on this dreaded and feared disease.
We covered a very wide area ranging from Mijomboni, Gede, Chembe, Jimba, Dabaso, and Watamu.
As a community health worker together with my fellow members, we managed to get orphans whose parents had died of AIDS.We realized that these children needed not just material support, but also love, acceptance, and a sense of belonging. Working together, we organized regular meetings and home visits, providing food, clothing, and counseling to help them cope with their loss and the stigma often associated with HIV/AIDS. Through our Whatsapp group and community outreach, we educated families about prevention, encouraged testing, and fought against discrimination.
…And today, we are proud to say that the seeds she planted in those early days have grown into something truly transformative for our community. The Munyaka Child Center School now stands as a beacon of hope for orphans and other vulnerable children who would otherwise have no opportunity to study.
At Munyaka, we provide not only quality education but also nurturing support that addresses the emotional and social needs of every child. Our dedicated staff ensures that each student receives the care and encouragement necessary to thrive, regardless of their background or personal challenges.
We understand that learning is not just about academics, but also about building confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging. In addition to education, the school offers comprehensive healthcare support.
Regular health check-ups, counseling, and access to medical care are available to all our students, ensuring their physical and mental well-being is prioritized alongside their studies. We work closely with families and the wider community to create a safe and supportive environment where every child can grow and reach their full potential.
The journey has not always been easy, but the progress we see each day-in the smiles of our children, in their achievements, and in their dreams for the future-reminds us why this work is so important.
Together, we are breaking the cycle of poverty and stigma, and giving these children the chance to build brighter, healthier, and more hopeful lives.

Schoolchild Adoption
Under the leadership of dedicated staff and community members, the school has become a vital resource in Malindi. Its evolution reflects a sustained commitment to improving the lives of marginalized children, adapting to changing needs, and integrating best practices in child welfare and education.
